You’ll thank me later.
Life’s too short to always take the safe route, we all have a wild streak in us. You won’t go wrong playing by the rules but the life you live will never be enough. Sometimes the other path may not be wrong but there’s no denying that the less beaten track is more exciting. Taking that leap of faith isn’t just confined to a simple choice. It is a feat of courage and cofidence. This may not be your first time, looking through a chasm of endless opportunities, but the past has left you too scared to see any hope for happiness in reality.
But take the leap anyway, close your eyes and give in. Maybe, you’ll fall for the thousandth time or maybe the wind will lift your wings. But haven’t you ever wondered how it’d feel when you finally soar, when all the bruises pay off? Can’t you just wait to see the masterpiece you’ll paint when you make that sucessful leap? Maybe you’ll see mountains, and babbling brookes that chatter on or maybe you’ll hear the secrets the forest whispers at sundown. A positive result isn’t guaranteed. But a result surely is. As you learn, you grow. A tall tree is no good if it’s branches aren’t strong enough. With every leap of faith, you trust your gut and screw the rest. It may even fly in the face of logic.
Then there’s the thrill. Of not knowing the outcome. Of not knowing, in itself. Relying on chance. Playing the game of fate. A leap of faith is also a leap of trust. So trust yourself, not to know what’s right, because we all make mistakes sometimes, but to believe that you’re strong enough to pick yourself up if things go wrong and to hold your ground if things go right. So go on, listen to the clichés, dance like no one’s watching, sing like you can’t go wrong, love like you’ve never been hurt, and watch it turn your life around. Go ride that bike. Ask that girl out. Call that old friend with whom you had a fight. Take that long trip. Quit that boring old job. And live. Life is measured best in memories rather than security
Paulo Coelho once said, “To those who say adventure is dangerous, I say, try routine, it kills you far quicker” and i couldn’t agree more…. I’ve could live to be a hundered and never be satisfied, or live to be 30 and seen the ends of the earth and die content. Sometimes you need to just breathe, relax and let go. Cause in the end, we regret the chances we never took. Many talented people never made it big cause they were too cautious and never took that leap. Sometimes things can fall apart and force you to take it. In any case, the outcome is certain as it is real
Your life is a story waiting to see the light, so live one that Gods and kings envy. Write a story in the brightest lights you know. Let constellations tell your fairytale. Just because you have a few setbacks doesn’t mean happily ever afters don’t exist. Cinderella had to do the dishes, Rapunzel was locked in a tower, Snow White literally rose from the dead to make her dreams come true
You’re happy ending out there too. And a leap of faith is your first step. You know what they say, ” The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.” So what are you waiting for?Be your own dream catcher.
We can’t always see the road ahead. It wouldn’t be fun if we did. And sometimes your only mode of transport is the leap of faith that’s bigger than any of your fears. If we wait until we’re ready, we’ll be waiting for the rest of our lives. After all, every amazing journey starts with the simple decision to go! So leave the map and all your inhibitions behind and ride till you run out of road.
Beleive.
